Meet the Artist
Larry Arnold was born in South Carolina, a great southern state with much Revolutionary and Civil War history. His parents afforded him many opportunities to see our national and southern heritage with seasonal visits to museums and national parks all over the United States and Canada. Larry expressed his artistic talent early in life painting and drawing upon his shoes, jeans and homework assignments. His teachers and parents recognized his desire and talent for drawing and furthered his education through art teachers in the community.
Arnold began his professional career in 1978 with studies under one of the South's finest instructors, Oscar Wetherington. Since that time he has received numerous awards and wide acceptance for his Original Paintings and Ltd. Edition Prints of Nostalgia and War Between the States art.
Larry often credits music as his catalyst behind may of his finest works in addition to historical travels of his youth. The artist recreates actual places from his travels and from descriptions passed down by generations.
Arnold, with the help of his wife, Pamela,
displays his art in both local and out of state shows.
